Book Club of Doom

Because some of us really do like to read

Howdy! Welcome to the Book Club of Doom! Yes, it is a rather silly name, but the goal is for serious book discussion. You'll notice authors like J.K. Rowling are conspicuously missing from our humble little list. Sure, she's a talented writer, and got countless children to actually read, but we're aiming for books that can create serious, deep discussion. If you have any suggestions for future readings, do feel free to bring them up in a post.

The rules are pretty simple here. There aren't many, because I don't like rules, for one.

1. Don't be a dick. It's pretty simple. I don't anticipate much debate in this community, but if you don't agree with someone, be civil. Maintainers have complete and total power to ban you. We don't want to, so don't make us.

2. Use tags in your posts. This makes it easier for people to find posts on one particular subject. If you're talking about Fahrenheit 451, just put that in the tag box.

3. Stay on topic. This is a book club, so the posts should pertain to books in one way or another. Comics and Graphic Novels count, but please keep them to a minimum. If you're a person who writes, and you have an archive of your writing, contact one of the maintainers, and we'll make a link to your archive. Do not promote your galleries/archives in the posts. These posts will be deleted.
