Help Plan the Schedule

I'm posting this now so that we can get a good schedule worked out before we start reading. The schedule we decide on will be the basis for all future rounds. glam_jam and I were thinking that it would be good to work on 4 week cycles, but if we need to take more time, or if it's too much time, we can adjust it accordingly.

When do y'all think would be a good time to start? One thing I wanted to bring up for a possibility is to divide whichever book we're reading into sections, and every so often, post an entry to discuss each section. That way, if someone works more slowly than others, they can disregard the posts so no crucial plot elements are given away. Yea? Nay?

If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to add them here.

I like the idea of reading in sections...I tend to forget huge chunks of stuff I might have commented on by the time I actually finish a book. We'd just have to double check that everyone had the same section divisions in their book, even if page numbers differ.

And if we decided on what book we wanted, etc., we could start as soon as the weekend of the 21st/22nd depending on if everyone had copies of the book. (Note: If one had access to a university's library, that might be a good place to obtain book copies...)

Question: When we finish reading a book and are discussing it, will there be a break specifically for the discussion before the new book round starts? I have no idea if this is relevent, but I'm curious none the less. Thoughts?

Yeah, I think a four week round and a one week break or sowould be a good idea, because you don't want to get burned out. It would also give us a chance to choose the next book.

RE: the division of sections. Perhaps if we went by chapters rather than pages, it would be more uniform.

I agree with all of the above. ;3
